The court further added that Allahabadia could be required to cooperate with the investigation. YouTubers Ranveer Allahabadia and Ashish Chanchlani have been dealt a significant blow by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has declined to grant passports to both the influencers. The top court stated in its order that a decision will be made only after considering the controversial incident of India's Got Latent. Earlier, Ranveer Allahabadia was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court, but was harshly censured for the use of language on the show.
The court had stated that there was something extremely filthy in his mind, which he had vomited in the show. The court had initially prohibited him from hosting any show, but later revoked the ban on the YouTuber. The court had stated that Ranvir Allahabadia can host his show under morality and decency. The Supreme Court, during the hearing on Tuesday, stated that it is said that Allahabadia was called and he appeared before the NCW, where his statement was taken. He also participated in the investigation at the police station in Guwahati. The petitioner has also promised that decency will be preserved in his show and no reference will be made.
The court, however, announced that his request for passport for foreign travel would be heard after the inquiry was finished. The Maharashtra government has stated that the inquiry would be finished within two weeks and further said that the court has fixed the next date of hearing of the case to April 21.
